The choir is conducted by Lynne Rogers.
Lynne has a busy career as a freelance soprano, singing teacher and choral director. She is a gifted concert and oratorio performer and for 16 years was a regular member of the BBC Daily Service Singers broadcasting on Radio 4. She has performed in France, Germany, Holland, Italy and throughout the UK and her repertoire extends from baroque to contemporary music.
Lynne originally studied Theology before travelling to Italy to study singing under Maestro Arrigo Pola, who famously taught Pavarotti. She continued her studies at Birmingham Conservatoire before returning home to Liverpool. Lynne currently teaches singing at undergraduate and graduate level at Liverpool Hope University in addition to having a thriving private practice.
She has particular interests in vocal health and lifelong singing and believes that nobody is ever too old to improve their singing voice. She has directed a number of ensembles amongst which are show choirs, opera choruses and youth choirs.
